The Danish Triathlon Federation and the Danish Sports Organization for the Disabled invites international paratriathletes to the first national and international paratriathlon race in Denmark.

Denmark Open Paratriathlon Sprint is part of the official Danish National Championship sprint race tour with in the Danish triathlon Federation. The paratriathletes will compete alongside 300 triathletes from the Danish youth, elite an AG.

There will be a national classification (in English) for athletes with no prior classification.

The Course

The swim starts at Kanalstræde in Holbaek and takes place in the Harbour Bassin protected from wind and waves. The Course is a two times 375 m Triangle swim. Swim direction is counter clockwise.

The swim finishes just 50 meters from the transition area.

Estimated water temperature is 17´degrees.

Lifeguard Boats will be in the water.

Batwilykelrute

The Bike run is an in and out 4 km closed road on good surface asphalt. The course is run 5 times.

There are two 180 degrees turning points.

Løberute

Running is an in and out 2,5 km course. The course is run on flat asphalt.

Rules:

Danish Open Paratriathlon Sprint are governing the rules under ITU and the Danish Triathlon Federation.

The sprint is a Non Draft race, with 10 meters distance between the athletes in the bike course.

Handlers for paratriathletes according to the ITU rules.

Athletes must follow officials calling and judgments at all times.

Classification:

All athletes without an international ITU classification must attend a national classification at the paratriathlon sprint on the 16^th of August. Schedule for classification is emailed all athletes one week before the race start.

Paratriathlon race start:

All paratriathletes will start in the same heat. Paratriathletes will wear same swim cap colour for the handlers to see.

• 16^th of August Classification     
• 17^th of August race day
