Gran Fondo Svendborg should be more than just a cycling event. With this, we hope to create a Cycling festival where we can celebrate all of you Cycling enthusiasts, whether you cycle to win bicycle races, cycle as a recreational cyclist where it's just about participating, or if you simply want to go for a ride with good friends and comrades. At Gran Fondo Svendborg, we embrace it all.

Gran Fondo Svendborg gives you the opportunity to qualify for the UCI GRAN FONDO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 2024 final, which will take place in Ålborg from the 28th of August to the 1st of September 2024. But Gran Fondo Svendborg offers much more, we open the roads in South Funen for everyone who wants a cycling experience beyond the ordinary. Whether you are a beginner, former elite cyclist, current licensed rider, super recreational cyclist, or do you cycle because you love being out in the fresh nature and staying active. We hope that you will join us at Gran Fondo Fyn and maybe push your own limits and simply experience a cycling event firsthand.

Whether you choose the Gran Fondo route of approximately 155 km or the Medio Fondo route of approximately 76 km. We are certain that Gran Fondo Svendborg will meet, or perhaps exceed, your expectations.

Routes and Safety
The organization behind the UCI World Series Gran Fondo Svendborg places great emphasis on safety. We work closely with the Police and the municipalities where the race passes through, in order to ensure safe routes for all participants.

Two races will be held - an individual time trial and a road race. The individual time trial route will be completely closed to traffic, so you can concentrate on achieving your best time.

The routes for the road race will be completely closed to traffic for 60 minutes from the start of the race. After the 60 minutes, the route will be open, and you must follow the traffic rules. If you want to ride a bicycle race under safe conditions, where you don't have to consider the rest of the traffic, then you should sign up for the UCI Gran Fondo World Series Svendborg. Motorcycle Race Marshalls will be clearing the route during the 60 minutes.

The routes will be posted here as soon as they are finalized and approved.

Who can participate:
Everyone with a heart for cycling is invited to Gran Fondo Svendborg. No license or club membership is required. You just have to sign up - and then you are part of the party. The race is open to all, with or without a license.

Gran Fondo classes - qualification
 

Exceptions for participation are:

• Riders who have been on a UCI-registered team in the current year
• Riders who have participated in a World Championship, Olympic Games, Continental Games, Commonwealth Games, or World Cups in the current year.
• Riders who have scored UCI points in the current year.

Registration:
You are in the right place if you want to sign up for Gran Fondo Svendborg. If you want the opportunity to qualify for the UCI 2024 Gran Fondo World Championships, it is important that you sign up in the correct age group:

Female participants:
19 to 49 years Gran Fondo
Male participants:
19 - 59 years Gran Fondo

Female participants
+50 years Medio Fondo
Male Participants
+60 years Medio Fondo

If you simply want to participate and ride the race with friends or family across different ages and genders, you are welcome. Then you just have to ride the race as a mass participation, and enjoy this.

there will be a DKK 100.00 discount until the 31st of December 2023 for all registrations. 

By registering, I confirm that participation is at my own expense and risk. I am aware that I am self-insured and that the Organizer cannot be held responsible for any injuries caused by crashes and other accidents.
 

More practical information will follow as various agreements are finalized.

Program:
Friday, 7th of June: Start and finish area at Centrumspladsen in Svendborg opens. Registration and number distribution.

Saturday, 8th of June: Individual Time Trial Cycling festival and activities for participants, accompanying persons, family, and citizens of Svendborg.

Sunday, 9th of June: Road Race
